Platform to Table
From performance based leadership to authentic connection.
You’re invited to journey with us…
We use the metaphor of a platform and a table to illustrate the journey from performance based leadership to a life and ministry that is properly formed and ordered by God.
We call this journey “spiritual (re)formation”. It is a journey of Discovery of who God really is, recovery of the authentic self, and reconnection in our relationships with God, self, and others.
We believe performance based leadership is driven by the fear of being unloved, and is rooted in our early childhood experiences with our attachment figures and what we were taught about God.
When we perform out of fear we hide our pain and shame, and compulsively try to please God, ourselves, and others to earn our self-worth, security, and purpose. However, this only reinforces disconnection, and inevitably leads to despair.
We help leaders arrest the compulsion to perform as they address the underlying spiritual, emotional, and relational needs of the wounded child hiding behind the performer persona.
We saved you a seat at our Table…
In our Eucharistic (Christ-centered), trauma-informed, and 12-Step infused community, we discover God does not drive us with fear and narcissistic demands. We experience his love as a Gift to be received, and that we belong just as we are.
We hold our stories in the light of the unconditional love of Christ, where our wounded child can be reparented by God, and the pain we tried to perform away on our platform of leadership can be (re)formed.
Alleviated of burdensome conditions of attachment and codependent psychological survival strategies, the child and performer parts are reintegrated, and the whole authentic self can perform on his or her platform of leadership with a restored sense of connection with God, self, and others.
In the Fall of 2025, we are launching a pilot of Year 1 of our 3-Year Spiritual (Re)Formation Program. We are also piloting a monthly Leadership Support Group - PTA (Platform to Table Anonymous) and a Monastic Retreat.
